Mumbai, September 16, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Music composer Amaal Mallik has launched another strong social media attack over what he described as malpractices in the film industry, while defending his family and explaining the contribution of his brother Armaan Malik to the making of the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, which was later sung by Salman Khan.

In a lengthy post on X, formerly Twitter, Amaal objected to criticism directed at his family after Salman Khan’s home production shared a post marking the song’s 10th anniversary without crediting him as its composer.

Amaal said Armaan had recorded the main version of the song, which helped present it to Salman Khan and director Nikhil Advani. He credited lyricist Kumaar and Armaan for their respective contributions before Salman recorded his version.

The composer said that while the song’s final version featuring Salman’s voice and image played a major role in its popularity, the work involved in creating the track should not be overlooked.

Amaal also said the issue might appear insignificant to listeners but remained important to artists because it concerned professional recognition and rights within the music industry.

Defending his family’s legacy, he said the Malik family’s association with music began 76 years ago with his grandfather and accused critics of repeatedly dismissing their work as a result of luck or nepotism.

“I am sick of each and everything at this point,” Amaal wrote, saying it had taken him around two decades in the industry to reach this level of frustration with what he described as industry politics and online hostility.

He further warned those targeting his family that he would respond strongly and said he would take action against people from the film industry or elsewhere who threatened his family.

“Music ka #Srk hoon main, Magar gussa mera #SalmanKhan Aur #SanjayDutt wala hai,” he wrote, adding that he remained firmly supportive of his father Daboo Malik and the family.

Amaal also addressed the public discussion surrounding the family’s earlier breakup and separation, saying the situation was now resolved and describing it as a clash between a son’s ideology and his parents’ beliefs.

The composer said he and Armaan were carrying forward their family legacy together and described his brother as an integral part of his family.

In a separate part of the post, Amaal warned people against directing abuse or threats at his family and said he would consider legal action against those doing so.

The controversy gained momentum after Salman Khan’s home production shared a social media post celebrating 10 years of ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ without crediting Amaal as the composer.
