India’s Abhishek Sharma has moved up to second place in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, while teammate Ishan Kishan continues to occupy the top position after India secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in their three-match series against Afghanistan.
Abhishek climbed one spot after his explosive 82 in the series opener, moving ahead of Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan. He now trails Kishan by 51 rating points.
Sanju Samson also made significant progress in the batting rankings, rising four places to 30th after scoring a half-century in the second T20I against Afghanistan.
Indian bowlers registered notable gains as well. Varun Chakaravarthy moved up two places to fifth, while Jasprit Bumrah jumped seven places to 10th. Arshdeep Singh climbed 11 spots to 14th, and Axar Patel rose six places to 27th following their performances against Afghanistan.
Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai also improved his position in the T20I all-rounder rankings after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the opening match.
Australia’s players made significant gains in the ODI rankings following their 59-run victory over Zimbabwe in the first match of their series in Harare.
Australian pacer Nathan Ellis surged 20 places to 20th among ODI bowlers after claiming a five-wicket haul. Matthew Renshaw, who was named Player of the Match for his 109, jumped from outside the top 100 to 68th among ODI batters. Cooper Connolly moved up nine places to 77th after scoring 51 while batting at No. 3.
In the Test rankings, England pacer Ollie Robinson reached a career-best rating and rose two places to third among bowlers after taking 21 wickets in the three-Test series against Pakistan.
His England teammate Josh Tongue also achieved a career-high ranking, climbing two places to 11th after claiming 19 wickets in the series. Robinson’s half-century in the third Test at Birmingham additionally lifted him seven places to 13th in the Test all-rounder rankings.
Despite Pakistan’s 3-0 series defeat, captain Babar Azam moved up two places to 13th among Test batters, while Shan Masood climbed four places to 37th following his strong performance in the final Test. England wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith also advanced three places to 20th after scoring a half-century in the first innings of the third Test.
