Ms Prabhdeep Sandha is a distinguished alumnus of College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) whose academic and professional journey exemplifies dedication and excellence in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Dr Sandha’s illustrious educational path began with a B.Sc (Hons.) in Nutrition and Dietetics from PAU, where she graduated with University Gold Medal in 2016.
Her passion for nutrition policy and applied statistics led her to the University of Mississippi, where she earned her Ph.D with the highest honors in 2020.
Overall, her research and outstanding student performance at University of Mississippi granted her with recognition of Outstanding Graduate Student award.
Her notable dissertation on the produce intake of US school children participating in the National School Lunch Program has contributed valuable insights into child nutrition and public health policy.
Following her doctoral studies, Dr Sandha completed a rigorous Dietetic Internship at Ohio State University, further solidifying her expertise as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Professionally, Dr Sandha has held several significant positions, including her current roles as the Graduate Program Director and Associate Professor at the Department of Nutrition, Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Her work has been recognized by various honors and awards. Most notable among them included Commission on Dietetic Registration Faculty Fellowship Award by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, Kathleen Stitt Award by School Nutrition Foundation, and Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition/ Research Dietetic Practice Group Student Research Award by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Research DPG.
