Reaffirming the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government’s commitment to employee welfare, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has directed all state government departments to complete the necessary formalities and forward eligible cases to the Personnel Department for the transition of outsourced employees to direct contractual engagement within a time-bound framework.
Chairing high-level discussions with the Enlistment Outsourcing Coordination Committee, Cheema, who also heads the Cabinet Sub-Committee tasked with addressing employee grievances, said the directions were aimed at ensuring the smooth implementation of the Punjab State Outsourced Personnel (Transition to Contractual Engagement) Act, 2026.
