Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has revealed how watching actor Rajpal Yadav’s comedy films helped him deal with disappointment after difficult days on the cricket field.
During the latest episode of Family Full House, hosted by Rohit, the cricketer shared a personal memory of turning to Rajpal’s films after getting out early or losing a match.
“Jab mai khelta hu, out ho jata hu, hum match haar jaate hai toh jab hotel jata hu dukhi rehta hu toh mai aapki movie dekhta hu, woh movie dekhne ke baad subah jab uthta hu toh mujhe aisa lagta hai ki kal toh kuch hua hi nahi, mai toh jaldi out hua hi nahi,” Rohit said.
He explained that watching the actor’s films helped him feel better by the following morning, making it seem as though the disappointment of the previous day had never happened.
Rohit also offered to show Rajpal proof of just how much he enjoyed his comedy. “Toh proof ki baat, aap dekhna chahoge?” he asked, before a video from 2016 was played.
The video showed Rohit using an app to create clips featuring Rajpal Yadav’s dialogues. Recalling the memories associated with it, he explained that he and his teammates would use the app while relaxing in their hotel rooms after matches.
“Ye 2016 ki baat hai. Ek app aaya karta tha. Woh app me aap aise video create karte the, toh maine bataya na jab na hum hotel me aate the khelne ke baad, hotel me baithke yehi karte the, toh ye tha proof mera, ye 2016 ki baat hai, 10 saal phle ki baat hai,” Rohit said.
