The makers of Telugu film Power Peta, starring Sundeep Kishan, have unveiled the first-look poster of actress Ritika Nayak, revealing that she will play a character named Padamataveedhi Janaki in the upcoming film directed by Krishna Chaitanya.
The poster was released on Tuesday to mark Ritika’s birthday. Sundeep also extended his wishes to his co-star on social media, describing her as his favourite co-star and the team’s “ChatterBox/LaughterTheraphy”.
“Happy Birthday to our #PadamataVeedhiJanaki, my absolute fav co-star,” he wrote, wishing her the best year ahead.
The first-look poster presents Ritika in a traditional avatar, seated on a wooden bench inside a vintage-style house. She wears a cream-coloured half-saree with a peach-toned dupatta and traditional jewellery.
The makers have also released a glimpse featuring the actress in different looks, ranging from traditional attire to contemporary outfits. The visuals offer a peek into the varied shades of her character without disclosing further details about the storyline.
Ritika plays the female lead opposite Sundeep, whose character was previously introduced as Senapathi Ravi. An earlier glimpse featuring the actor hinted at a narrative involving love, honour and politics.
The film is being produced by 70mm Entertainments, led by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy. According to information shared by sources close to the production, around 60 per cent of the shoot has been completed.
The technical team includes cinematographer Madhie, music composer Mani Sharma and National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad. Ramakrishna and Monika are handling production design.
Ritika has attracted attention with her recent films Mirai and Korean Kanakaraju, while Power Peta brings her together with Sundeep Kishan for a new Telugu cinema project.
