Actress Kiara Advani once revealed that she was so frustrated with her ‘Kabir Singh’ co-star Shahid Kapoor that she wanted to slap him after being made to wait for eight hours on the film’s sets.
The actress shared the incident during her appearance with Shahid on the popular celebrity chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. During the episode’s Bingo segment, Kiara recalled that she was only on her third or fourth day of shooting when she had to wait for hours because Shahid was discussing which shoes he would wear in the next scene.
Recalling the incident, Kiara said, “It was my third or fourth day of shooting, and I was made to wait for eight hours because there was discussion of what shoes Shahid would wear in the next scene.”
Host Karan Johar responded humorously, agreeing with her frustration and remarking that he would also have slapped someone if he had been made to wait eight hours over a discussion about shoes.
‘Kabir Singh’, released in 2019, was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The romantic drama was produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series Films, along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde under Cine1 Studios. The film was a remake of Vanga’s Telugu hit ‘Arjun Reddy’, which starred Vijay Deverakonda.
On the personal front, Kiara and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, announced their second pregnancy on October 7 through a social media post. The couple shared a photograph of their daughter, Saraayah, handing them a pair of ivory knitted baby booties, accompanied by a message expressing their happiness and gratitude.
Kiara and Sidharth reportedly fell in love while working together on ‘Shershaah’. They married in a traditional ceremony in Rajasthan in February 2023 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, in June 2025.
