Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s team has warned of legal action against individuals and social media platforms spreading fake news, fabricated stories and AI-generated videos falsely attributed to the actor following a firing incident involving him.
In its first statement after the incident, which took place on Sunday evening, the team clarified that Tiger had not made any public comments or released any videos concerning the incident or related developments.
The statement said, “We would like to categorically clarify that Tiger Shroff has made no statements, released no videos, and authorised no communication regarding the recent incident or any related developments.”
The team further alleged that several social media pages and digital platforms were circulating fabricated stories, AI-generated videos and scripted narratives falsely linked to the actor.
“These are completely false, unauthorised and intended to mislead the public,” the statement said.
Urging media organisations, digital platforms and social media users to act responsibly, the team called on them to verify information before publishing or sharing content about Tiger. It also cautioned against creating or amplifying misinformation for online engagement or monetary gain.
The statement made it clear that the actor and his team had no association with the circulating content and would consider legal remedies against those responsible.
“Any individual or page found creating, promoting or circulating such fabricated content will face appropriate legal action. We are taking cognisance of these instances and reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies against those responsible,” the team said.
The team also appealed to the public to refrain from forwarding unverified claims and to rely exclusively on confirmed information shared through Tiger Shroff’s official channels.
The warning comes amid concerns over the circulation of misleading digital content following the firing incident involving the actor.
