Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has sparked curiosity among fans with a philosophical social media post reflecting on wisdom, clarity, spirituality and the possibility that ignorance may sometimes bring greater peace.
Sharing a close-up selfie, the actor wrote about spending much of one’s life searching for wisdom, only to arrive at a different understanding.
“You spend so much of your life chasing wisdom and clarity, only for the penny to drop that ignorance was bliss all along,” he wrote.
Hrithik went on to describe the world as a “fool’s world” and suggested that the final stage of wisdom or spirituality might involve consciously stepping away from the constant pursuit of understanding.
“Maybe the last step of wisdom, or spirituality itself, is taking that conscious step back. Back into being the fool again,” he added.
The actor has previously shared extended reflections on social media. In an earlier post, which he described as a “senseless morning rant”, he wrote about emotions, sadness and the tendency to analyse one’s feelings.
Hrithik made his debut as a leading actor with his father Rakesh Roshan’s 2000 film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, which established him as a major Bollywood star. His subsequent filmography includes Fiza, Mission Kashmir, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Koi… Mil Gaya, Lakshya, Krrish, Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar.
He later took on varied roles in films such as Guzaarish, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Agneepath, Kaabil, Super 30, War, Vikram Vedha and Fighter. He was last seen in the 2025 action film War 2, featuring Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, and made a special appearance in Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.
On the personal front, Hrithik was married to interior designer Sussanne Khan from 2000 until their divorce was finalised in 2014. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, and continue to co-parent them.
The actor is currently in a relationship with Saba Azad. The couple recently marked five years together.
