Veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has shared a humorous anecdote about his wife Sunita Kapoor, revealing that she once went on their honeymoon without him.
In an upcoming episode of “India Ke Top 1%: The Anil Kapoor Show”, a reference to Kangana Ranaut’s film “Queen” during a conversation about travelling alone prompted Anil to recall his own relationship with Sunita.
“Sunita akele gayi thi honeymoon par, main saath mein nahi gaya tha. (Sunita went for the honeymoon alone, I didn’t accompany her),” Anil said.
Turning the amusing memory into an affectionate tribute to his wife, Anil added, “Sunita hi meri Queen hai, aur hamesha rahegi (Sunita is my queen and she will always remain my queen).”
Anil and Sunita married in 1984 and have three children — Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor.
The actor is currently hosting the reality show, which presents a different approach to the quiz format by focusing not only on knowledge but also on observation, logic, presence of mind and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Anil had earlier described the challenges on the show as tests of how contestants think and respond. The format is designed to allow viewers of different age groups to participate from home, turning it into a family-oriented game experience.
“India Ke Top 1%: The Anil Kapoor Show” airs on Star Plus and JioHotstar.
Meanwhile, Anil recently shared a glimpse of his fitness routine on social media. On September 25, he posted a video from a gym session in which he was seen riding a stationary cycle.
Sharing the workout clip, the 69-year-old actor wrote, “My favourite cardio friend. We go back a long way.”
