Actor Cameron Douglas showered love on his father Michael Douglas and stepmother Catherine Zeta-Jones on their birthdays, describing the couple as two of the “most dynamic and lovely” people he knows and celebrating them as family.
Cameron, the son of Michael Douglas and Diandra Morrell Luker, shared a photograph of his father and Zeta-Jones on Instagram along with a heartfelt birthday message.
“Happy Happy Birthday to two of the most dynamic and lovely individuals I know, whom I have the great pleasure of calling Family,” Cameron wrote.
Addressing his father, he added: “Dad, I Love you to pieces here’s to many more fabulous trips around the sun with your beautiful and beloved wife…Catherine you are the best and I Love you Happiest of Birthdays guys.”
Cameron has appeared in films including Mr. Nice Guy, It Runs in the Family, National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve and Loaded. In It Runs in the Family, he appeared alongside his father Michael and paternal grandparents Kirk and Diana Douglas, bringing three generations of the Douglas family together on screen.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones began dating in 1999 and married in 2000. The couple have two children, son Dylan Michael and daughter Carys Zeta.
Zeta-Jones has also continued to remain active on screen. In February, she shared an update from the sets of the third season of Wednesday, in which she plays Morticia Addams. The actress posted a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram and wrote, “Working away on Season 3 of @wednesdaynetflix Having a grave old time.”
Based on the character created by Charles Addams, Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega in the title role, with Luis Guzmán and Zeta-Jones portraying her parents.
Michael Douglas, meanwhile, has enjoyed a decades-long career in Hollywood. He is particularly known for his Oscar-winning performance as Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone’s Wall Street and has appeared in films including The China Syndrome, Romancing the Stone, Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, Falling Down, The Game, Traffic, Wonder Boys and Solitary Man.
