The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), with three officers assigned to key police subdivisions in Mansa district.
The transfer orders, issued on October 29, come amid administrative developments and protests surrounding the murder case of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota.
According to the orders, Gurpartap Singh, presently serving as DSP Command Centre, Fatehgarh Sahib, has been transferred and posted as DSP Sub-Division Mansa.
Harvinder Singh Sran, currently posted as DSP Bathinda Rural, has been appointed DSP Sardulgarh in Mansa district.
Sarabjit Singh Brar, serving as DSP Special Branch, Bathinda, has been transferred and posted as DSP Budhlada.
Sikander Singh, who was serving as DSP Budhlada, has been transferred to Ladda Kothi in Sangrur district.
Three DSPs Posted in Mansa District
The reshuffle affects three important police subdivisions of Mansa district — Mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada.
The transfers come against the backdrop of developments in the Parvinder Singh Jhota murder case, which has prompted protests and demands for action.
