Indian rock bands Girish and The Chronicles and Parikrama will join global rock icons Guns N’ Roses as opening acts during the band’s upcoming India tour, bringing together two generations of the country’s rock music scene.
Girish and The Chronicles will open the Bengaluru concert on November 14, 2026, while veteran rock band Parikrama will perform ahead of Guns N’ Roses in Guwahati on November 17.
Representing the newer generation of Indian rock, Girish and The Chronicles are expected to bring their high-energy sound, powerful vocals and hard-hitting live performance to the Bengaluru stage. Their set will include songs from their repertoire such as ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Is Here to Stay’, ‘Hush’, ‘Disintegrate’ and ‘Generation Coward’.
In Guwahati, Parikrama will showcase more than three decades of Indian rock history. The band has built a long-standing following across generations with songs including ‘But It Rained’ and ‘Open Skies’.
The Bengaluru and Guwahati concerts are being produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live and will feature the Indian bands before Guns N’ Roses take the stage.
The upcoming shows follow the American rock band’s return to India in May 2025, when they performed at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on May 17 as part of their 2025 tour. It marked their first India performance in more than 12 years.
Guns N’ Roses had previously performed in India in December 2012 during their maiden India tour. At the time, the band was led by Axl Rose and featured the ‘Chinese Democracy’ era lineup rather than the classic lineup associated with Slash. The concerts featured some of the band’s best-known songs, including ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, ‘November Rain’, ‘Paradise City’ and ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1985 through the merger of L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose, Guns N’ Roses rose to international prominence with their 1987 debut album ‘Appetite for Destruction’.
The album became one of the best-selling debut records in music history and featured major hits including ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Paradise City’.
