Punjab Higher Education, Education, Public Relations and Local Government Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday visited the district office of the Punjab State Trade Commission at the District Administrative Complex in Rupnagar and interacted with members of the business community to understand their concerns and suggestions.
Bains said the Trade Commission serves as an important platform for traders to raise their issues at a single point, facilitate their communication with the concerned departments and ensure effective coordination for resolving eligible cases.
He said the establishment of the district-level office has provided traders with a direct and convenient forum to submit their genuine demands, problems and suggestions.
The minister directed the district team to give priority to traders’ grievances and maintain continuous coordination with the concerned departments for their resolution. He said a strong business community was an important foundation of the state’s economic progress and asserted that the Punjab government was committed to creating a conducive environment for traders.
The Punjab State Trade Commission’s district office has been established at Room No. 131, District Administrative Complex, Rupnagar. Traders from the district can approach the office with their problems, demands and suggestions. The office will take up eligible matters at the appropriate level and coordinate with the concerned departments for their resolution.
During the visit, Harjot Singh Bains was welcomed by Anandpur Sahib Assembly constituency chairman Gurpreet Singh Arora and Rupnagar Assembly constituency chairman Amandeep Singh Soni on behalf of the trader community. Various issues concerning the business community were also discussed during the interaction.
