Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora on Monday held talks with UAE International Investment Council (UAEIIC) Secretary General H.E. Abdulla Ahmed Al Suwaidi on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai, inviting UAE investors to explore opportunities across Punjab’s high-growth sectors.
During the meeting, Arora highlighted Punjab’s economic potential and discussed avenues for mobilising investments through government, semi-government and private-sector partnerships.
The Minister assured UAEIIC representatives of full administrative support, handholding and logistical facilitation from the Punjab government for global enterprises looking to establish or expand operations in the state.
He said the Bhagwant Mann-led government was committed to building long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships with UAE-based investors and institutional funds as part of its efforts to strengthen industrial growth and global economic linkages.
Arora also highlighted the investor-friendly reforms undertaken by the state, particularly the ‘Invest Punjab’ unified single-window platform, which provides statutory approvals and clearances to facilitate a smooth investment process.
“Punjab offers a highly conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem, excellent multimodal connectivity, skilled technical manpower, and a transparent governance framework. We invite UAE business leaders to become active partners in Punjab’s transformative economic growth story,” Arora said.
The UAEIIC, which brings together public and private entities in the UAE to facilitate outward foreign direct investment (FDI), welcomed the Punjab delegation’s proactive engagement.
The discussions focused on strengthening institutional linkages between the UAE and Punjab and creating opportunities for direct investment and joint ventures.
Arora said the engagement marked an important step towards deeper economic cooperation, stronger business ties and the development of substantial investment pipelines for Punjab.
