Actress Mirnaa, who plays the daughter-in-law of superstar Rajinikanth in director Nelson Dilipkumar’s blockbuster Jailer 2, has revealed that Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, who makes a cameo appearance in the film, was her childhood crush.
Taking to Instagram to share her experience of working with the Bollywood actor, Mirnaa expressed her excitement at sharing screen space with someone she had admired since childhood.
“A childhood crush, a hero I’ve always been in awe of, and now, the surreal feeling of sharing screen space with him!” she wrote.
She went on to describe the experience as special, adding that getting to know the person behind the superstar made it even more memorable.
“Working with @hrithikroshan on #Jailer2 was truly special. And getting to know the person behind the superstar made it even more beautiful. So sweet, so humble, so down to earth. My admiration and respect for him have only multiplied! Some moments are just once-in-a-lifetime. This is one of them,” she added.
Mirnaa had recently shared another emotional note expressing gratitude to Rajinikanth following the success of Jailer 2. In her post, she thanked the superstar for being part of a journey that had fulfilled a long-held dream, while also acknowledging director Nelson Dilipkumar and production house Sun Pictures for giving her an opportunity to be part of the film.

A day before the film’s release, the actress had also shared a photograph with Rajinikanth, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to work with the veteran star again and urging audiences to watch the film in theatres.
Jailer 2 has received praise from several celebrities across the film industry. Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh recently lauded Rajinikanth’s screen presence after watching the film, describing the superstar’s aura as being on another level.
Sharing his reaction on X during the interval, Riteish wrote, “Watching Jailor 2 – its interval now – Maha Blockbuster ….. Rajni Sir’s aura is on another level- Dir Nelson & the team – take a bow !!!!! Do yourselves a favour -watch the film- coz It’s HUKUM -TIGER KA HUKUM.”
After the film ended, he shared another post, calling it a blockbuster and recalling how audiences clapped, whistled and cheered at every entry by Rajinikanth. He concluded that the film was a celebration of the superstar’s enduring appeal.
Earlier, actor and politician Kamal Haasan had congratulated his longtime friend Rajinikanth and the entire team of Jailer 2 on the film’s reported worldwide success. In a post on X, he extended his wishes to Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sun Pictures.
Nelson responded to Kamal Haasan’s message with gratitude, saying that the appreciation meant a great deal coming from a legend.
National Award-winning actor and filmmaker Dhanush also praised the film after watching its first-day, first-show screening. Calling it a must-watch, he described it as a treat for Rajinikanth’s fans.
Several other prominent actors and directors have also congratulated the team following the film’s successful run.
