With the main construction of the Ram Temple in the Ram Janmbhoomi complex completed, the focus of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee has now shifted to the International Ramkatha Museum, Chairman Nripendra Misra said on Tuesday.
Misra said tenders for the museum’s individual galleries would be floated from October 10, with the project comprising 20 galleries.
“There will be a discussion on the museum today as well. The biggest work for the museum is now about to begin. Tenders for each gallery will be issued from October 10,” Misra told reporters.
He said the theme and storyline for each gallery had already been finalised. Museum Director Sanjeev Kumar Singh had worked extensively on preparing the overall storyline, he added.
The next phase will involve developing videos and other content using immersive, 3D and other technologies. Misra said the tender covering the required hardware and software was also expected to be issued by October 10 and finalised by the end of the month.
Once the technology tender is finalised, the galleries are expected to take around six months to complete.
“Our main focus now is on the International Ramkatha Museum,” Misra said, adding that construction of an auditorium within and outside the temple complex was also underway. The auditorium has faced a delay of around three to four months but is expected to be completed by January or February.
On the completed temple construction, Misra said the dues of companies involved in the work would be finalised according to contractual conditions. Performance bank guarantees would also be provided to the companies to ensure that the value of the assets is maintained.
Misra, who is spearheading the transformation of the International Ramkatha Museum, said the completed museum would showcase the law and order systems of the past 500 years as well as the life of Lord Ram.
Established in 1988, the Ramkatha Museum preserves literature and artefacts related to the life of Lord Ram.
