Television actress Smita Bansal celebrated a special milestone in her relationship with husband Ankush Mohla as the couple marked 25 years together by renewing their wedding vows in a dreamy white wedding-style ceremony in Goa.
The intimate celebration took place on the eve of their anniversary, with friends of the couple sharing glimpses of the occasion through photographs and videos on social media.
One photograph shows Ankush kissing Smita on the cheek as she smiles with her eyes closed, dressed in a white bridal gown. Ankush, wearing a dark suit, is seen holding his wife close.
Another video captures the couple dancing together beneath a floral wedding arch. The ceremony appears to have been organised outdoors against a scenic seaside backdrop.
Pictures from the celebration also showcase rows of wooden chairs draped in cream fabric, floral decorations and an elegantly arranged ceremony area. A decorative sign bearing the names “Ankush & Smita” and the date October 26 was also displayed at the venue, alongside a message celebrating their 25 years together.
Several television personalities shared photographs and videos from the special occasion. Actress Neha Marda, who worked with Smita in the popular television show Balika Vadhu, was among those associated with the celebrations. Sangita Ghosh, Jayati Bhatia and other television personalities also shared glimpses of the event.
Smita and Ankush have been married since 2002. Ankush is an actor and television director, and the couple have two daughters, Stasha and Anaagha.
The couple also appeared together on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2012, where their performances received appreciation from viewers.
Smita’s return to dancing on the show was particularly noted by fans, as she had resumed performing around three months after the birth of her second daughter. Her energy and commitment impressed viewers and judges despite the relatively short time since childbirth.
Smita became a household name for her portrayal of Sumitra Singh in Balika Vadhu. She shared a close on-screen relationship with Neha Marda, who played Gehna, as their characters were sisters-in-law in the Singh family.
Over the years, the actress has also appeared in television shows such as Amanat, Aashirwad and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
