The Mumbai Crime Branch has taken a third woman into custody for questioning in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car, as investigators probe a suspected network linked to the case.
The woman was brought to the Anti-Extortion Cell for questioning, but police have not yet disclosed her alleged role or established the nature of her links to the other accused. Two other women, identified as Radha and Babita, were earlier arrested in Delhi in connection with the case.
In a parallel development, the Anti-Extortion Cell arrested three more accused in Sonipat, Haryana, on Thursday. Identified as Sameer, Jatin and Ankit Khatak, the men were brought to Mumbai following their arrest and are expected to be produced before a court.
Investigators suspect Sameer played a coordinating role in the alleged conspiracy, acting as a link between Anil Pandit and the alleged shooter, Rehan. He is also accused of arranging funds and weapons connected to the incident. Police are continuing to investigate the suspected roles of Jatin and Ankit Khatak.
The arrests follow raids and searches conducted across multiple states, including Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana, as police pursue leads in the case.
Investigators are also examining a social media post in which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing. According to information being investigated by police, Anil Pandit was reportedly posting messages on behalf of the gang.
With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested in the case has reportedly reached 10, including two women. The third woman’s alleged connection to the incident remains under investigation, and her role has not been publicly established.
Police are continuing to examine the alleged links among the accused, the suspected financing and weapons arrangements, and the circumstances surrounding the firing.
