Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon recently enjoyed a reunion with film industry friends Asha Parekh, Juhi Chawla and Padmini Kolhapure, sharing a glimpse of their get-together on social media and describing the actresses as “intelligent, good-hearted ladies”.
Sharing a photograph from the gathering, Poonam expressed happiness at reconnecting with the stars and celebrating their friendship.
“So lovely to catch up with intelligent good hearted ladies,” she wrote.
The photograph shows Asha Parekh in a navy-blue saree, accompanied by Poonam, Juhi and Padmini. The get-together reportedly took place around Asha’s recent birthday celebrations.
The meeting brought together actresses who have made significant contributions to Hindi cinema across different eras.
Poonam and Asha previously shared screen space in the 1989 film Batwara, directed by J.P. Dutta. The multi-starrer featured Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Amrita Singh, Poonam Dhillon and Asha Parekh.
Asha remains celebrated for her performances in classics such as Teesri Manzil, Kati Patang and Caravan. Poonam rose to prominence with films including Noorie, Baseraa and Yeh Vaada Raha, while Padmini earned recognition for her roles in Prem Rog and Woh Saat Din.
Juhi, meanwhile, became one of Hindi cinema’s leading actresses during the 1990s, starring in popular films such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Ishq.
Poonam and Padmini have also been in the news over the recent controversy surrounding the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA). In August 2026, 11 members reportedly submitted their resignations amid allegations of unilateral decision-making and misuse of positions. Both actresses rejected the allegations, describing them as offensive.
