Bollywood superstar Salman Khan joined his family for Ganpati Visarjan celebrations on Tuesday night, where a light-hearted moment involving his sister Arpita Khan Sharma caught attention.
A video from the celebrations shows Salman performing aarti while holding the ritual thali. As he rotated the thali, Arpita, who was standing nearby, appeared to notice that he was moving it in the wrong direction.
Arpita immediately stepped in and gestured to her brother to change the direction of the thali, guiding him to continue the aarti correctly. Salman quickly realised his mistake and followed her instructions, making for an endearing sibling moment during the festivities.
Salman was dressed casually for the occasion in a black T-shirt, a black head covering and a sleeveless grey jacket. Arpita wore a traditional green-and-black embroidered ethnic outfit featuring floral detailing.
The siblings were joined by family members, friends and guests as they participated in the Ganpati celebrations.
Salman has regularly taken part in Ganpati festivities over the years, including aarti and visarjan. The Khan family has continued the tradition of celebrating Ganpati at home, with family members participating in the festivities.
Salman’s mother, Salma Khan, was born Sushila Charak in a Maharashtrian Hindu family, while his father, Salim Khan, is Muslim. The family has been known for observing festivals associated with different religious traditions over the years.
