Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan became emotional as her triplets, Diva, Anya and Czar, began a new chapter in their lives by leaving for college in different cities.
Sharing glimpses of the bittersweet milestone on Instagram, Farah reflected on the challenge of saying goodbye to not one, but three children at the same time.
“If u thought moving ur kid to college was hard.. try doing it 3 times! 3 cities, 3 campuses.. 3 goodbyes! 3 pieces of my heart. Jao jee lo apni zindagi.. but remember, all roads lead back to Dad & mom,” she wrote.
Farah also thanked her husband, filmmaker Shirish Kunder, for managing everything behind the scenes, joking that he did everything except appear in the family photographs. She added a personal note for daughter Diva and chose the song Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna for the post.
The first photograph showed Farah sharing a warm hug with Czar, while the other pictures captured candid and affectionate moments with her three children.
Several friends from the film industry reacted to the emotional post. Sunita Kapoor wrote, “Faru making me cry,” while Shilpa Shirodkar congratulated the triplets and said they would return as “the Best Version of Themselves.” Rhea Kapoor also expressed disbelief at how quickly the children had grown. Bhavana Pandey, Soha Ali Khan and Diana Penty, among others, responded with heart emojis.
The milestone comes months after Diva, Anya and Czar graduated from school in May. Farah had shared pictures from their graduation ceremony at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, describing the moment as bittersweet.
“Don’t know which is tougher.. raising your kids or letting them go!? They can fly as high as they dream .. there’ll always be a nest waiting for them,” she had written.
