BJP’s UP In-Charge Vinod Tawde Meets Yogi Adityanath, Discusses Strategy Ahead of 2027 Polls

Lucknow, September 6, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, focusing on strengthening its grassroots organisation and improving coordination between the government and the party organisation.

BJP’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Sunday and held detailed discussions on the party’s electoral strategy, organisational strength and preparations for the upcoming Assembly polls.

The meeting marked Tawde’s first visit to Uttar Pradesh after taking charge as the party’s state in-charge. He has been tasked with helping steer the BJP’s campaign in the politically crucial state, where the party is seeking a third consecutive term.

Following the meeting, Tawde posted on X: “UP ki raftaar rahegi barkaraar; teesri baar banegi NDA sarkaar” (UP’s momentum will remain sustained; NDA government will be formed for the third time).

Tawde said he discussed issues related to the organisation, government and elections with Yogi Adityanath, BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.

He said every BJP worker was committed to the goal of “Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh” and forming an NDA government again in 2027.

The discussions also covered strengthening the organisation at different levels, assessing electoral preparedness and preparing a broader roadmap for party workers ahead of the polls.

During his visit, Tawde is scheduled to participate in a review meeting to assess the political, electoral and organisational situation in the state and chalk out the party’s strategy for the 2027 elections.

Tawde was welcomed at the Lucknow airport on Saturday by senior BJP leaders, including Pankaj Chaudhary, state general secretary (organisation) Dharmpal Singh, state general secretary Sanjay Rai and state office in-charge Govind Narayan Shukla.

After his arrival, Tawde also targeted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying the SP’s “PDA” slogan stood for “Paraya Dhan Apna”. He said the BJP would counter the SP’s campaign and asserted that the NDA would contest the election with full vigour.

Tawde also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Yogi Adityanath’s development agenda in Uttar Pradesh, saying the party would seek another term with a resolve to dedicate the next five years to the people of the state.
