Jalandhar Warriors produced a convincing seven-wicket victory over Ludhiana Lions in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026 at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Friday, with captain Prabhsimran Singh once again leading the chase with a stunning unbeaten 90.
Ludhiana Lions, led by Arshdeep Singh, posted 167/7 in their allotted 20 overs after recovering from a difficult start.
Jalandhar’s bowlers put the Lions under pressure early, reducing them to 40/4. Abhijeet Garg and Arjun Rajput attempted to rebuild the innings with a 32-run fifth-wicket partnership. Rajput contributed 15 off 11 balls before falling, while Garg scored 33 off 30.
Madhav Pathania then provided the Lions with a crucial late-innings surge. He reached his half-century off just 25 balls and continued attacking in the final overs, finishing with an impressive 72 off 32 deliveries to take Ludhiana to 167/7.
Aryan Yadav was Jalandhar’s standout bowler, claiming three wickets for just nine runs in his four overs.
Jalandhar’s chase suffered a few early setbacks as the Warriors slipped to 66/3 in the seventh over. However, Prabhsimran joined Aryan Yadav and transformed the innings with an explosive partnership.
The Jalandhar captain took charge with a succession of powerful strokes while Aryan provided steady support. Prabhsimran remained unbeaten on 90 from just 39 balls, while Aryan finished unbeaten on 32 off 27 deliveries as the Warriors comfortably completed the chase.
For Ludhiana, Arshdeep Singh claimed two wickets for 31 runs in his four-over spell.
Prabhsimran’s blistering knock once again proved decisive, ensuring that Jalandhar completed a seven-wicket win after Ludhiana’s impressive fightback had appeared to set up a competitive total.
