Edtech company PhysicsWallah reported a consolidated net loss of ₹77.6 crore for the June quarter of FY27, narrowing from ₹120.5 crore in the corresponding quarter a year earlier, even as revenue increased 24.4 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,054 crore.
The company’s operating performance also improved during the quarter, with its EBITDA loss declining to ₹56.9 crore from ₹76.3 crore in Q1 FY26. However, PhysicsWallah has yet to achieve EBITDA breakeven, keeping profitability a key focus.
The online learning business remained the company’s largest revenue contributor. Online operations generated ₹548.79 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹489.90 crore from offline operations. The online segment reported a profit of ₹75.90 crore.
The offline business, in contrast, posted a loss of ₹27.17 crore, while other business segments recorded a loss of ₹4.50 crore.
PhysicsWallah continued expanding its physical presence and had 353 centres across the country as of May 2026. Its online unique transacting user base stood at 4.87 million, while offline enrolments reached 0.47 million.
Higher costs continued to affect the company’s bottom line. Depreciation, depletion and amortisation expenses rose to ₹110.67 crore during the quarter, while finance costs stood at ₹25.50 crore.
The company reported other income of ₹108.86 crore, although this was partly offset by a ₹44.35-crore loss from the remeasurement of financial instruments at fair value. Consequently, PhysicsWallah recorded a pre-tax loss of ₹84.32 crore for the quarter.
On the stock market, PhysicsWallah shares closed at ₹117.60 on August 14, down 0.52 per cent, or ₹0.62, from the previous close. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹119.62 and a low of ₹115.60.
