The nostalgia of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi came alive as several cast members of the iconic television drama reunited for an evening filled with laughter, food and cherished memories, just as its sequel approaches the finale.
Actress Apara Mehta shared pictures from the get-together, hosted at Riva Bubber’s home, featuring Smriti Irani, Gauri Pradhan, Ritu Chaudhary, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Rakshanda Khan, Hiten Tejwani, Sumeet Sachdev and other familiar faces from the show.
Sharing glimpses of the gathering on social media, Apara wrote, “My dearest Kyunki gang at @rivabubber’s lovely home. As usual a night filled with laughs and good food and great memories!”
Smriti Irani, who became a household name for her portrayal of Tulsi Virani, was seen posing with her former co-stars. Gauri Pradhan, remembered as Nandini Virani, and Hiten Tejwani, who played Karan Virani, were also part of the reunion.
Apara, who portrayed Savita Virani, joined Ritu Chaudhary, known for playing Shobha Virani, and Kamalika Guha Thakurta, who essayed Gayatri Virani. Host Riva Bubber, who played Damini Virani, and Rakshanda Khan, known for her role as Tanya, were among those present.
The gathering comes as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 moves towards its finale, bringing renewed attention to the television family that became a fixture in Indian households.
Created by Ektaa Kapoor, the original series premiered in 2000 and ran until 2008. Led by Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as Tulsi and Mihir Virani, the family drama became one of Indian television’s most popular shows.
Nearly two decades after the original series ended, the sequel reunited several familiar faces, including Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 premiered on July 29, 2025.
