The Election Commission of India (ECI) has intensified its nationwide outreach to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral rolls, with election authorities across several states and Union Territories launching special campaigns, organising camps at polling booths and providing multiple channels for voter registration and grievance redressal.

The exercise, being carried out under ECI instructions, aims to help eligible citizens register their names, correct errors, resolve discrepancies and seek assistance with enrolment and hearing procedures. Voters have been advised to contact Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and District Election Officers (DEOs) for support.

In Delhi, Chief Electoral Officer R. Alice Vaz said around 33 lakh entries had been identified under the Logical Discrepancy or Unmapped categories during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
