Hollywood star Hilary Duff is navigating a mix of emotions as her children reach important educational milestones, with some beginning kindergarten while her teenage son heads into ninth grade.
Duff took to Instagram to share a series of photographs marking the start of the new school year. Reflecting on the changes, she said the moment left her feeling emotional, excited and proud.
“All of this is (mixed emotions emojis) you feel me?” Duff wrote in the caption.
The actor and singer has remained active on social media, where she also recently remembered her late friend and fellow actor Hayden Panettiere.
On August 19, Duff paid tribute to Panettiere, recalling the time they spent talking and gossiping late into the night. She described her as hardworking and full of energy, while remembering the unique experiences they shared as young performers navigating life in the public eye.
Duff expressed her sadness over Panettiere’s death and sent love to her family and those who were close to her.
Duff began her music career in 2002 with the release of her Christmas-themed debut studio album, Santa Claus Lane. She achieved major commercial success with her second album, Metamorphosis, which topped the Billboard 200 and was certified four-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Her subsequent releases, including Hilary Duff, Dignity and the 2005 compilation Most Wanted, also achieved platinum or gold certifications.
Her later albums include Breathe In. Breathe Out. and Luck… or Something.
