The second season of the streaming series ‘Dupahiya’, starring Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua), Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane, is set to premiere on Prime Video on October 1, 2026.
Set in the fictional village of Dhadakpur, the series blends innocence, small-town charm and comic chaos. The new season brings a fresh set of challenges for its characters, promising bigger complications and plenty of humour.
Directed by Sonam Nair, ‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 also features Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma.
Creators and Executive Producers Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani said the series remains close to their hearts, adding that while its story is rooted in rural India, it revolves around big dreams colliding with everyday chaos and finding humour in unexpected situations.
They also expressed gratitude to audiences for the response to the first season and said the second instalment would explore newer challenges and bigger stakes for the characters.
The creators said the upcoming season would balance humour with heartwarming and emotional moments. They also thanked Prime Video for supporting the series and providing them the creative space to expand the world established in the first season.
‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 is created and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP. The series is created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg.
The second season will stream on Prime Video from October 1, 2026.
