Veteran actor Anil Kapoor wished his younger brother, actor Sanjay Kapoor, on his birthday on Saturday, sharing a heartfelt message that celebrated their bond and revealed that the youngest Kapoor brother still enjoys his special privileges.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Anil shared two unseen photographs with Sanjay and wrote, “To the youngest Kapoor brother, who’s grown up but hasn’t quite outgrown his little brother privileges. Proud of you and everything you’re building, Sanjay! Happy birthday @sanjaykapoor2500.”
Sanjay’s wife, Maheep Kapoor, also marked the occasion with a nostalgic social media post. She shared a couple of old photographs capturing their journey together, from their courtship days to building a family.
“Happy birthday husband @sanjaykapoor2500,” Maheep wrote alongside the pictures.
Several members of the entertainment industry joined in to wish Sanjay on his special day. Filmmaker Farah Khan left a birthday message for him, while actress Ananya Panday and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also extended their wishes. Actress Delnaaz Irani commented, “Happiest birthday dear Sanjay have a great day.”
Sanjay and Maheep’s love story began when Maheep was starting her modelling career and met the actor at a party in Delhi. The couple dated for around five years before tying the knot.
They have two children: daughter Shanaya Kapoor, who is an actress, and son Jahaan Kapoor.
Sanjay made his acting debut with the 1995 film Prem, directed by Satish Kaushik, which featured Tabu as the female lead.
Over the years, he has appeared in films such as Raja, Sirf Tum and The Zoya Factor. He has also featured in the Netflix series The Fame Game and the crime thriller Murder Mubarak.
