Actress Karisma Kapoor shared a playful moment with Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma on the television show Family Full House with Rohit Sharma, giving him the affectionate nickname “Pookie Pullshotter” during a light-hearted exchange.
The fun interaction took place during a round in which participants were asked about Rohit’s childhood nickname. The cricketer revealed that he did not have a nickname while growing up.
“Mere bachpan mein koi nickname hi nahi tha,” Rohit said.
Karisma then explained that nicknames were common in her family and that she wanted to give the cricketer one of his own.
“Hamari family mein itne saare nicknames hain, mera bhi hai. Toh main aapko ek nickname dena chahti hoon,” she said.
She then introduced Rohit to his new nickname, “Pookie Pullshotter”. In return, Rohit gave Karisma the nickname “Lolo Love”, making the exchange a memorable and entertaining moment on the show.
Karisma appeared on the programme alongside her brothers Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain and her sister-in-law Anissa Malhotra. Their team competed against a group comprising Chunky Panday, Neelam Kothari, Samir Soni and Sandiip Sikcand.
Family Full House with Rohit Sharma airs every Saturday and Sunday on Sony Entertainment Television and is also available to stream on Sony LIV.
Meanwhile, Rohit recently opened up about his childhood and recalled how his family’s financial circumstances prevented him from visiting cinema halls when he was young. The cricketer shared the memory on the same show while talking about his first experience of watching a film on the big screen.
During the conversation, Chunky Panday asked Rohit about his first visit to a cinema hall. Comparing the excitement of watching a cricket match live in a stadium with viewing it on television, Chunky pointed out that watching a film in a theatre also offered a different experience from watching it at home. He then asked Rohit which film he had watched on his first cinema visit and whether he remembered the occasion.
Recalling the experience, Rohit said he could not afford to visit a cinema hall as a child, but his friends helped make his first movie outing possible.
“When I was a child, I couldn’t go to cinema halls because my family’s financial circumstances were such that we couldn’t afford it. However, my friends were very kind to me, and they took me to watch my first film, which was a horror movie. The theatre was very close to my house, and since that film was playing there, we decided to watch it,” he said.
Rohit’s candid recollection offered a glimpse into his early years, while his playful exchange with Karisma added a dose of humour to the family entertainment show.
