Parts of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu area have been demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over alleged unauthorised construction, days after the civic body issued a stop-work notice.
The bungalow, spread across 7,802 square feet, is located in Kapol Cooperative Housing Society in the JVPD Scheme, on N.S. Road No. 11, Plot S-10.
According to reports, interior alterations, partition walls, windows and other construction work were being carried out at the property without the required permissions.
The BMC reportedly issued a notice on September 10, 2026, under Section 354A of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, directing that all construction work be stopped immediately. The notice also sought the necessary permissions and relevant documents.
Civic action followed despite stop-work notice
According to the civic body, the construction work continued despite the notice. The BMC subsequently moved to remove portions of the allegedly unauthorised structures at the bungalow.
The action concerns the reported construction violations at the property. Details of the extent of the demolition and any further proceedings were not provided in the source report.
On the professional front, Devgn was last seen in Dhamaal 4, directed by Indra Kumar. The adventure comedy is the fourth instalment in the Dhamaal franchise, following Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal and Total Dhamaal.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Esha Gupta, alongside Devgn.
He will next appear in Ranger, an upcoming action-adventure film directed by Jagan Shakti. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Tamannaah Bhatia. Devgn is reportedly set to play a dedicated forest officer fighting illegal animal poaching, while Dutt plays the antagonist heading a criminal network.
