Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor has revealed that superstar Salman Khan shares her love for chocolates and has such a strong sweet tooth that he would sometimes eat chocolates for breakfast, even during freezing-cold mornings in Switzerland.
Karisma made the revelation during a recent episode of Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, where she appeared alongside Salman. The actress also revisited the origins of their friendship, which she said dates back around 36 years.
Recalling their first encounter, Karisma said she was around 16 and attending dance classes under choreographer Saroj Khan at Satyam Hall when Salman was rehearsing a song for the film Baaghi.
She remembered being eager to catch a glimpse of the young star and described freezing when she eventually spotted him sitting in purple trousers and a white vest.
Salman recognised her as Randhir Kapoor’s daughter and complimented her dedication to dance, telling her he had been watching her work hard. He then gave her a chocolate bar, an incident Karisma remembers as the beginning of their enduring bond.
The actress said the two had remained close ever since, adding that their shared fondness for sweets was something many people might not know about Salman.
“I don’t think anybody knows that Salman has a sweet tooth like me. He loves eating chocolate,” she said.
Karisma also recalled their time in Switzerland, where the group would have breakfast while Salman carried a large packet of chocolates on the bus despite the freezing weather.
“His breakfast used to be chocolates,” she said, offering a light-hearted glimpse into the superstar’s eating habits.
Premiering in 2004, Koffee With Karan is known for its candid celebrity conversations, personal revelations and entertaining anecdotes about Bollywood stars and their relationships.
