Comedian and television host Bharti Singh marked Teachers’ Day by remembering the teachers and mentors who helped shape her life, while reflecting on an unusual teaching experience on her show ‘Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh’.
Bharti, who is currently associated with the game show, said the experience gave her a different perspective on teaching. Playing the role of a teacher for her husband and co-host Harssh Limbachiyaa and other celebrities, she found that the lessons came with plenty of fun, laughter and playful punishments.
“Teacher’s Day always brings back so many memories of school and the teachers who shaped us in their own way,” Bharti said.
She added that her experience on the show demonstrated that teaching does not necessarily have to take place in a conventional classroom.
“Whether you are teaching in a classroom or on a game show, the best lessons are often the ones that come with a lot of laughter,” she said.
Bharti also used the occasion to thank teachers who make education enjoyable and leave lasting memories for their students.
“This Teacher’s Day, I want to thank every teacher who has made learning fun and memorable for their students,” she added.
Harssh Limbachiyaa said Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to recognise people who guide others, influence their thinking and impart lessons that extend beyond textbooks.
The ‘Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh’ also featured a special Teachers’ Day episode, in which the set was transformed into a playful classroom. Harssh said the experience brought back memories of school while highlighting the role teachers play in making even simple lessons memorable.
He described the episode as a combination of school nostalgia, the energetic format of the game show and humour, making it a special Teachers’ Day celebration.
