Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid, have been named in India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming three-match one-day series against Australia U-19.
The Junior Men’s Selection Committee has announced the squads for the home series, which will begin with three 50-over matches in Rajkot on September 18, 21 and 23. The teams will then play two multi-day fixtures, in Rajkot from September 27-30 and at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium ‘B’ Ground from October 5-8.
Uttarakhand batter Lakshya Raichandani will captain the one-day side, with Madhya Pradesh batter Yashbardhan Chauhan as his deputy. Chauhan will lead the multi-day team, while Raichandani will serve as vice-captain.
Aaryavir, a leg-spin all-rounder, and wicketkeeper-batter Anvay have both been included in the 15-member one-day squad but will not feature in the multi-day fixtures.
Aaryavir is currently representing West Delhi Lions in the 2026 Delhi Premier League and has played two matches so far. Anvay, meanwhile, scored 101 runs in two 50-over matches during India U-19’s tour of Sri Lanka in July. India lost the one-day series 2-1 but won the red-ball series 1-0.
Manal Chauhan and Chigurupati Venkata have also been included in the one-day squad, while Sagar Virk, Anmoljeet Singh and Ishan Sood have been omitted.
For the multi-day fixtures, wicketkeeper-batter Abhipray Biswas, Ishan Om, Ayaan Akram, Mohit Ulva and Aryan Yadav have been brought into the squad in place of Aryan Sandesh Sakpal, Hemchudeshan J, BK Kishore, Kavya Paresh Patel and Chigurupati Venkata.
