Actor Varun Dhawan and filmmaker David Dhawan reacted to Salman Khan taking off his T-shirt during the latest episode of ‘Bigg Boss’, where the superstar spoke out against social media users who body-shame celebrities.
On Sunday, Varun shared an Instagram Story showing himself and his father watching the episode of ‘Bigg Boss’. The video captured their reaction to the moment when Salman removed his T-shirt while addressing the issue.
Salman’s comments came after actress Katrina Kaif faced trolling over postpartum weight gain. The actor also hit back at those who had targeted him over changes in his weight and speculated about his recent appearances, including his use of headgear.
Salman questioned the people making such comments and urged them to first look at themselves before mocking someone else’s appearance.
“Kamaal hai! Pehle, apne aap ko dekho bhai. Yeh jo aap log comment karte ho na, jiske upar, kisi ke bhi upar, pehle apni shakal dekhlo. Apna jism dekhlo usme baad karna ye,” Salman said on the show.
He further said that comments about someone gaining or losing weight are understandable, but making fun of another person’s appearance is not.
“Apne maa-baap ko dekhlo pehle, unki sehat dekhlo. Uske baad karna, samjhe? Ek samajh aata hai ki ‘bhai, you’ve lost weight or put on weight… woh samajh aata hai, lekin mazaak udaana’?” he added.
During his comments, Salman also mentioned Varun’s name while discussing how celebrities’ appearances can become subjects of public commentary and trolling.
Varun was recently seen in ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’.
