The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to hold a key meeting of its IT and social media leadership in the national capital on Sunday, with BJP National President Nitin Nabin and National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh scheduled to chair the gathering.
The meeting will bring together members of the BJP’s national IT and social media teams as well as state-level heads of the party’s digital units.
According to sources, the discussions will focus on three key priorities — expanding the ongoing ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, refining the party’s digital strategy ahead of forthcoming Assembly elections and strengthening outreach to Gen-Z voters.
The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, launched to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life, is expected to receive particular attention. Party digital teams are likely to discuss ways to take the campaign deeper into the grassroots through coordinated online efforts and wider dissemination of related content.
With several Assembly elections approaching, the meeting is also expected to review the role of social media in election preparedness. Discussions are likely to cover targeted campaign content, rapid distribution across digital platforms and ways to communicate the party’s message effectively in the digital space.
Another major focus will be younger voters. BJP officials are expected to explore content tailored to the aspirations, interests and concerns of Gen-Z users, with an emphasis on deeper engagement rather than merely increasing numerical reach.
The BJP’s social media apparatus has expanded its footprint in recent months, and the September 20 meeting is expected to discuss the next phase of that expansion, with greater emphasis on quality interaction and responsible communication.
Party leaders are also likely to stress the need for an energetic but carefully calibrated digital campaign that remains proactive while maintaining accuracy and an appropriate tone.
The meeting will be held in hybrid mode, with most participants expected to attend in person in Delhi and select state functionaries joining virtually.
