Singer and music composer Roopkumar Rathod has shared a spiritual reflection from his visit to Banaras, saying the ancient city offered him a sense of stillness that went beyond the photographs he had hoped to capture.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Rathod described how his visit to Kashi became an opportunity to pause and reconnect with the spiritual essence of the city, renowned for its religious heritage.
“With my camera in hand, I came searching for beautiful frames, but Banaras gifted me something far more precious… a moment of stillness in a world that never stops moving,” he wrote.
Reflecting on the city’s atmosphere, he added, “In Kashi, morning does not merely dawn; every morning here marks the rebirth of the soul. Har Har Mahadev!”
Rathod also shared photographs from his visit, including one showing him holding a camera while capturing scenes from the spiritual city.
The singer recently remembered his late friend and actor Satish Shah on the actor’s death anniversary. In another emotional Instagram post, Rathod recalled Shah’s warmth, humour and kind-hearted nature, sharing a photograph of the two together.
He wrote that Shah’s laughter and friendship continued to live in his memories, expressing how much he missed their conversations and shared moments.
On the professional front, Rathod recently lent his voice to recreated versions of the classic songs ‘Jaate Hue Lamhon’ and ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ for the film Border 2, which was released on January 23, 2026.
Known for his work as both a singer and composer, Rathod has continued to balance his musical commitments with personal reflections and tributes to people who have shaped his life.
