Nine-year-old Faridabad racer Arshi Gupta produced another commanding performance as she dominated the Mini Max category in the fifth round of the FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship RMC India 2026, which concluded at Meco Kartopia in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Representing Leapfrog Racing, Arshi secured maximum championship points after winning both the pre-final and final races. Her impressive run included eight consecutive fastest laps in Sunday’s final, underlining her pace and composure.
Arshi had also dominated the fourth round at the same circuit a few days earlier, winning both championship points-scoring races.
Bengaluru-based Peregrine Racing teammates Zidaan Arshaan Anees and Akshat Misra also completed dominant weekends in the Micro Max and Senior Max categories, respectively. Pune’s Hridaan Sanadhya of Crest Motorsports topped the Junior Max class. All three secured maximum points by winning their respective pre-final and final races.
Sunday’s races featured several contacts and collisions, adding drama to the proceedings. In the Mini Max final, Bengaluru’s Ridhaan Anil Kumarr of Red Rabbit Racing finished second behind Arshi, while Coimbatore’s Shivneel Karthikeyan of MSPORT, son of India’s first Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan, fought through the field to claim third.
Zidaan took the lead at the start of the Micro Max final and maintained a steady pace to pull away from the chasing pack. Round 4 winner Ayansh Patil of Kolhapur and Gurugram’s Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat also secured podium finishes across Sunday’s races.
In Junior Max, Chennai’s Rivaan Dev Preetham finished fourth in the pre-final before charging from mid-grid to second in the final.
The 23-kart Senior Max grids produced close finishes. Akshat Misra won both races, while Eshanth Vengatesan finished second in the final after Rohaan Madesh dropped out following a collision. Mumbai’s Aahil Mecklai secured third.
