In a major boost for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election, the World Sufi Saint Society Punjab today announced its unconditional support for AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu.
Providing this information, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond stated that Baba Deepak Shah Ji, President of the World Sufi Saint Society, along with his entire team, made this significant announcement during a press conference today. Minister Sond said that receiving the blessings of saintly figures is a great honour for the party and that this support has made Harmeet Singh Sandhu’s victory certain.
Baba Deepak Shah said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has given due respect and recognition to the Sufi Saint Society, which is why they are once again supporting AAP as they did in the previous elections. He appealed to all followers to ensure Harmeet Singh Sandhu’s victory.
On this occasion, senior AAP leader Jagroop Singh Sekhwan, Youth Wing President of the Sufi Saint Society Baba Parminder Singh, District President Baba Karan Shah, Baba Kuldeep Singh, and Chief Advisor Gurlal Ruhani were present.
