Several customers have raised concerns over the quality and safety of products sold under Swiggy Instamart’s private-label brand Noice, alleging that they found insects in flour, a worm in chocolate and mould in a cake purchased through the quick-commerce platform.
The complaints, accompanied by photographs and videos shared on social media, have triggered questions about food safety, quality control and accountability in the rapidly expanding quick-commerce sector.
In one widely circulated post, a customer claimed to have discovered flies inside a sealed packet of freshly ground atta ordered through Swiggy Instamart. The customer alleged that this was not the first time they had encountered quality issues with Noice products and urged other consumers to exercise caution.
“This is not the first time I am seeing issues with NOICE brand products ordered from SWIGGY,” the customer wrote, claiming that the insects were visible inside the unopened packet soon after delivery.
In another complaint, a customer shared a photograph allegedly showing a worm inside a Noice French Chocolate Rocher. The customer said the company’s customer support team initiated a refund after the complaint was lodged but expressed disappointment over the incident, given the product’s premium positioning.
The customer also questioned the quality of the chocolate, referring to its marketing as a couverture product.
A separate complaint concerned a Noice-branded cake that allegedly contained mould. The customer said the product had been promoted as a healthier option made with cleaner ingredients and without palm oil. According to the complaint, a portion of the cake had already been consumed before the mould was noticed, raising concerns about possible health implications.
Although the affected customers reported receiving refunds, some questioned whether adequate preventive measures were in place to stop similar incidents from recurring.
The allegations have renewed online discussions about hygiene, storage conditions and quality assurance across quick-commerce supply chains. The complaints, however, remain customer allegations and have not been independently verified.
Swiggy had not responded to the allegations at the time of publication.
