New Delhi, November 3, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth Rs 510 crore, including aircraft, bank balances, fixed deposits, immovable properties, receivables and investments, in alleged fraud cases involving the Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group.

According to an ED statement issued on Tuesday, assets worth Rs 263.05 crore have been attached in the Reliance Home Finance Limited (RHFL) and Reliance Commercial Finance Limited (RCFL) bank fraud case, while another Rs 247.12 crore worth of assets have been attached in the Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) case.

In the RCOM case, the attached assets include two chartered aircraft, six plots of land and office premises in Maharashtra. In the RHFL and RCFL case, the agency attached two windmills in Tamil Nadu, along with bank balances, fixed deposits, investments and receivables.

With these latest attachments, the ED has cumulatively attached or seized assets worth around Rs 23,100 crore in cases involving the Reliance Anil Ambani Group under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The investigation was initiated following multiple FIRs registered by the CBI in Delhi and the Economic Offences Wings of Delhi and Mumbai Police. The ED has also investigated two cases under FEMA. The companies under investigation include Reliance Communications, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital.

The ED alleged that its investigation revealed the siphoning of public funds from banks and financial institutions, misuse of insolvency laws to ring-fence corporate assets for personal use, and diversion of funds to offshore tax havens. It further alleged that a substantial portion was used for the benefit of the promoters and their families.

The agency said it has arrested 10 individuals in these cases and filed six prosecution complaints under the PMLA, 2002, besides one complaint under FEMA. Further investigation is underway.
