Filmmaker Karan Johar was left impressed by Shah Rukh Khan’s chiselled physique after watching the superstar in the newly released song ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ from his upcoming action entertainer, ‘King’.
On Monday, Karan shared a picture of SRK flaunting his six-pack abs on Instagram Stories and wrote: “Aap sab gym jaate ho???? Bhai toh khud gym ban chuke hai! This body is INSANE!!! Pathan ab aur bhi Jawaan ho gaye hai! Humare KING ban gaye hai aur bhi ROC-KING! (sic).”
Released on Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday, ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is sung by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, with Ed Sheeran contributing an English rap. The romantic track has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Kumaar. Piyush-Shazia have choreographed the song.
The music video opens with SRK saying, “Main qaatil nahi, aashiq hoon, aur nishana meri mashooka, aur woh aashiq hi kya jo dil cheer na de”.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, ‘King’ also stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi. The film is expected to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.
Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan share a long-standing professional association, having collaborated on films including ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’ (2001), ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006) and ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010). SRK also starred in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003), which Karan produced.
