Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on Saturday, with wishes pouring in from across the film industry.
Among the messages was one from filmmaker Aditya Dhar, director of Ranveer’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’, who welcomed the new addition to the family with a special message.
“Pehle Lakshmi aayi, ab Saraswati bhi aa gayi!! So, so happy for you guys. Another little angel in the family. God bless her with all the love and happiness in the world,” Dhar wrote.
Ranveer and Deepika announced the birth of their second daughter on September 19 through a joint social media post featuring a tiny footprint. The post read, “Welcome baby girl…19/9/2026…Dua, Deepika, Ranveer”.
Several Bollywood celebrities congratulated the couple.
Vicky Kaushal wrote, “God bless! Congratulations.”
Alia Bhatt reacted with red heart, evil eye, sun and dance emojis, while Kriti Sanon wrote, “Awww!! congratulations you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing.”
Veteran actor Anil Kapoor also congratulated the couple, writing, “Congratulations Girls are the best.”
Riteish Deshmukh said, “Such great news…. Many many congratulations!!!!!! Loads love to Dua & Dua’s baby sister.”
Sonam Kapoor described the news as “What a dream…congratulations”, while Ayushmann Khurrana sent “Lots of love and blessings”.
A day before the delivery, Ranveer and Deepika were seen seeking blessings at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple on Friday. The couple had also offered prayers at the temple shortly before welcoming their first child.
The couple announced Deepika’s second pregnancy in April this year, sharing a picture featuring their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit.
Ranveer and Deepika, who were in a relationship for several years, married in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.
