Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Kajol and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan joined the Durga Puja celebrations at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai, marking the 80th year of the Mukherjee family’s longstanding tradition.
Ranbir, who is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, was spotted seeking blessings at the pandal. He wore a traditional maroon kurta featuring intricate golden embroidery along the neckline and front.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. It is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 5, 2026.
Kajol attended the festivities with her children, Nysa and Yug Devgan, and other family members. She wore a red saree with delicate gold detailing, complemented by statement jewellery and a bindi.
Jaya Bachchan was also present at the celebrations, where she shared a warm exchange with Kajol and her sister, Tanishaa Mukerji. The veteran actress was seen greeting them affectionately and blessing the sisters.
Kajol and Jaya also shared a lighthearted moment while posing for photographers, with Kajol making the veteran actress giggle.
The North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal has previously drawn attention during the festivities after Kajol urged visitors to maintain discipline amid overcrowding. In a video that went viral on social media, she was seen snapping her fingers and repeatedly saying, “Hello, hello,” while asking the crowd to maintain silence and order.
She also appealed to visitors to be considerate of others waiting to seek blessings from Goddess Durga.
