Celebrated actor R. Madhavan has spoken highly of global icon and Hollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas following the release of her latest action-comedy Heads of State, now streaming on Prime Video. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Madhavan praised her role and the impact of her success on the global stage.
“She has nonchalantly gone there and taken the main lead in such a massive Hollywood project. She’s done action in the film, and I think half of the heroes in India would love to be in her position, playing a role in that kind of movie,” Madhavan shared, pointing to Priyanka’s remarkable ability to command space in a big-ticket international film.
Heads of State, which features a stellar cast including Idris Elba and John Cena, sees Priyanka take on the role of MI6 agent Noel Bisset—delivering fierce action sequences and sharp screen presence in equal measure. The film has been receiving positive reactions, with many praising Priyanka for her undeniable command over a genre typically dominated by male leads.
“I’m a really big fan of how she is and how she’s carried herself. I am very proud of her,” Madhavan added, acknowledging not only her performance but her journey and consistency over the years.
Adding to the praise, comedian and writer Zarna Garg commented on a post highlighting Madhavan’s statement, saying, “Appreciate a brown dude who spills facts.”
