All India Panthic Convention organised by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today rejected decision to remove Giani Harpreet Singh as Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and it urged Giani Harpreet Singh to continue his work for preaching Sikh religion worldwide for which DSGMC will support him wholeheartedly.
Organised at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib complex, All India Panthic Convention passed around half a dozen resolutions.
In first resolution, Congregation supported decision of December 2 by Sikh clergy from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. In second resolution, decision to remove Giani Harpreet Singh as Jathedar Takht Sri Damdama Sahib was completely rejected and he was urged to continue his services for preaching Sikh religion worldwide.
In third resolution, congregation condemned honouring of Killers of 1984 Sikh genocide by Sarna brothers and it was resolved that DSGMC will continue its fight till all the guilty of 1984 Sikh genocide are sentenced to Jail.
In fourth resolution, Sikhs worldwide were urged to form a Coordination Panel to resolve issues being faced by the community. It also called for framing of rules and regulations for appointment of Jathedar Sahiban. In another resolution, former President DSGMC Manjit Singh GK was condemned for his involved in financial bungling.
General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon presented a resolution which was supported wholeheartedly demanding capital punishment for Sajjan Kumar key guilty of 1984 Sikh genocide.
Congregation was addressed by Giani Harpreet Singh who said that only 10 persons out of which two belonging to Delhi were working against Panth. He said that those of Delhi are now sitting on their cars after banging it with hammer.
Baljit Singh Daduwal prominent leader from Haryan also addressed this gathering.
A host of Sikh leaders from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and other parts of the country participated in this Panthic Convention.
DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon also said that degeneration of Sikh bodies to save one family can’t be tolerated by the panth. They said that panthic bodies needs to be united to save organisations of the panth.
