Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar offered fans a glimpse of his Diwali celebrations on Sunday, sharing a video on social media that featured his son Aarav in a rare public appearance.
In the Instagram video, Akshay was seen wearing a yellow kurta while performing the traditional aarti. Photographs of his late parents were also visible alongside the idols of deities, adding a personal touch to the family celebrations.
Wishing his followers on the festival, the actor highlighted the importance of spending time with loved ones and sharing happiness.
“Diwali is a festival of sharing happiness, spending time with loved ones and celebrating the small happiness of life. May this lovely festival bring happiness, good health and prosperity to every home,” he wrote, extending greetings to his followers and their families.
Akshay’s son Aarav, whom he shares with wife and author Twinkle Khanna, was also seen enjoying the festivities in the video.
On the professional front, Akshay was recently seen in ‘Haiwaan’, which reunited him with actor Saif Ali Khan. The two had earlier shared screen space in ‘Tashan’.
The film was produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films. Akshay and Saif also promoted the film on the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, where Saif’s excitement over winning a two-year supply of a ghee brand became a talking point.
Akshay’s upcoming projects include an untitled film directed by Anees Bazmee and ‘Golmaal 5’.
