India claimed three titles at the Telangana India International Challenge 2026 on Sunday, with Tushar Suveer and Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj winning the men’s and women’s singles crowns, while Krishna Prasad Garaga and Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy triumphed in men’s doubles.
The Indian players delivered strong performances in the finals at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy, with both singles winners recovering from losing the opening game to secure their titles.
Sixth seed Tushar defeated compatriot Bharat Raghav 15-21, 21-18, 21-19 in a 58-minute men’s singles final. His run included a straight-game win over top seed Kiran George in the quarter-finals and a victory against Hmar Lalthzuala in the semi-finals. The title marked an improvement on his semi-final finish at the India International Challenge in Bengaluru the previous week.
Top seed Rakshitha also came from behind to beat ninth seed Rujula Ramu 16-21, 21-15, 21-14 in 53 minutes. The victory added to her international honours after her triumph at the Vietnam International Challenge earlier this year.
India’s third title came through top-seeded men’s doubles pair Krishna Prasad and Pruthvi, who defeated fellow Indians Sai Pratheek K and Ruban Kumar Rethinasabapathi 21-12, 21-18 in 34 minutes.
India narrowly missed a fourth crown in mixed doubles. Sathish Kumar Karunakaran and Ashwini Ponnappa won the opening game but eventually lost 19-21, 21-11, 21-13 to second seeds Rodion Alimov and Alina Davletova.
The runner-up finish was Ponnappa’s first final appearance of the 2026 BWF season.
Japan secured the remaining title, with fifth seeds Mei Sudo and Mai Tanabe defeating Thailand’s top-seeded pair Phattharin Aiamvareesrisakul and Sarisa Janpeng 21-11, 21-11 in the women’s doubles final.
