Actress Aditi Rao Hydari says instinct and excitement play a key role in her choice of films, adding that she prefers to follow the childlike curiosity within her rather than overthink professional decisions.
The actress shared her approach while promoting her upcoming film Parivarik ManuRanjan in Mumbai alongside co-star Pankaj Tripathi.
Explaining what drew her to the project, Aditi described it as a sweet, slice-of-life story and said the people associated with the film were another major reason she wanted to be part of it.
She also enjoyed the opportunity to explore a different space as an actor, particularly the lightness and playful quality of the narrative.
“There’s an instinct and excitement. I listen to the child inside me. If I’m excited about something, then the journey for me is really important. Because anyway, the result is not in my hands,” she said.
Aditi added that she values the experience of working on a project as much as the eventual outcome.
“If the journey is fun and there’s adventure, it’s playful and you’re learning, and there could be people, I think that’s what’s very, very important. Because that’s what lasts with you,” she said.
For the actress, the people she works with, the opportunity to learn and the enjoyment of the creative process are what make a project memorable.
Parivarik ManuRanjan, featuring Aditi and Pankaj Tripathi, is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on November 13, 2026.
